TrustedLink Enterprise EDI Proactive Error Notification

The TLE email proactive error notification module is supplied as an ECM function that runs within the ECM Dispatch Manager Adapter. Each time the Dispatch Manager processes it retrieves the last TLE Error that had been notified, it then checks the TLE error log file for any new Error messages. A report containing all errors will be sent to each of the pre defined email addresses configured within ECS/ie under the message queue *ERRORLOG/TLE when new errors are detected. 

The email contains the same information that is available on the detailed view on the TLE EDI error log.

The TLE Proactive Error Notification warns of any transactions that are "In Progress", these transactions are checked once a day and an email Alert is sent if any of the following conditions are met: 

• UIP - Inbound Interchange Unpack In Progress
• CIP - Inbound Message Conversion In Progress
• SIP - Outbound Interchange Send In Progress 
• PIP - Outbound Message Pack In Progress 

System Requirements: TrustedLink Enterprise Version 3.2.01 or Higher & BPCS/ECM Ver6.0 Rel02 PLC.

The email contains the same information that is available on the detailed view on the TLE EDI error log.

The definition of an error is a TrustedLink Enterprise message with a severity greater than 2.

The Error notification function must be defined in the Electronic Dispatch Manager Adapter (EDM). The following functions should be defined:

• Ensure the ECSIE and the TrustedLink EDI Files & Objects libraries exist within the standard BPCS/ECM library list before commencing  and they must also exist within the library lists for ECM Collection Control and Dispatch Managers. (ECMECC & ECMEDM)

• From the BPCS Main Menu, select the ECM Menu.

• From the ECM Main Menu select , Electronic Commerce Adapters, option 13.

• Page down to the Adapter "EDM".

• Select ECA Function maintenance (Option 14)

• Add the ECS/ie function "IE002C1" to the bottom of the function list.

• Ensure the function is enabled.

The configuration of the administrator email addresses is managed within the ECS/ie Message Queue Monitoring maintenance for the reserved message queue *ERRORLOG/TLE.
